Background

Loop was created by local DJ’s Jamie Nevin and Jamie Nelson, promising music that has been left behind and under appreciated.

Originally, Loop filled the gap left by Belfast longest-running club night, Gigantic, after “seeing many small-medium size venues eventually closing down or changing tact over the years, resulted in both feeling quite dispirited with the future of Belfast club life.”

According to release, Loop “hopes to break new ground and give developing local artists a chance to show Belfast what they’ve got, as well as bringing in bigger names. Many guests booked in dance clubs for the last year have predominantly offered variations of house, and the two want to show Belfast that there’s more. It intends to inspire the crowd deeper and get to know artists that are underrepresented in the city and to bring a victory for everyone.”

Welcoming a community of like-minded clubbers who want to share a great experience week in, week out

I worked with the two Jamies in bringing a new style to their club night promotional materials during their time at the menagerie, incorporating a shift in design style to a clean readable slab serif with a visual system that can’t be misinterpreted.

Combining video footage and stock imagery from various sources we created a strong visual system to promote these events over print and digital marketing channels.
