Trimline is a Leading Supplier of Tiling Materials & Tools to the Construction Industry. Since starting out in the early 1980’s Trimline have brought leading technology and innovation to the British tiling market, offering full service tiling solutions with end to end project support.
As partners to some of the world’s most ambitious construction and tiling companies, they offer a huge breadth of knowledge spanning thousands of products and solutions to some of the most notable recent construction projects in London and beyond.
Between March 2022 and April 2023, my role as principal designer on all Trimline and umbrella brand advertising, aided the development of the brand voice, producing high-quality content including: marketing collateral – editorial and advertising, packaging, infographics and presentations, video, social media content, printed brochures and proposals for vehicle livery, simultaneously wearing many hats and spinning many plates.
I collaborated with cross-functional teams internally and externally on the development of new products, and their specification details, adapting design systems to all platforms including packaging and technical documents to strengthen brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all platforms and touch points.

Developing the brand voice

Established in 1980, Trimline is a leading supplier to customers in the tiling industry. A third generation family business, this company already has a strong digital footprint and a voice, it just needed a little fine tuning and is still going through a brand repositioning to split the large project and contracts side of the business from the retail focus.
Offering full service tiling solutions to the construction industry, coupled with a wealth of industry knowledge and technical expertise, Trimline are set apart from just being a trade distributor, they are also involved in the manufacturing process, with a huge range of their own products and brands.

ED23 Trimline Catalog

The biggest ever Trimline product guide yet, with over 2700 innovative tiling products & services. Trimline continue to annually print this 400 page catalog containing the vast inventory of products that are readily available for delivery from their Swanley warehouse.
This A5 book serves all that use it as an index to all products needed in the tiling process across many building applications.
ED23 got a facelift this year with new advertising, case study references and many new products with visuals reflecting the evolved brand voice. 

Client Pitches, Tenders and presentations

Client pitches and tenders are a big part of linking marketing and sales, providing prospective and current clients renew their contracts to continue working with the company.
I prepared client tenders to home builders and prepared presentations for high value retail pitches, strengthening the position for the companies opportunity to secure sales and distribution contracts.
These documents directly supported the sales team in gaining large contracts in a competitive market.

Aiming for Net Zero

Social consciousness and commercial awareness in the construction industry for green building is becoming more apparent.
Trimline Group is dedicated to conducting business responsibly and ethically. Trimline already partner with Climeworks and this presentation was prepared to partner with positive planet to contribute profits to help with climate change. 

Project specific documents

Collaborating with sales and technical teams we devised comprehensive product solutions system brochures with carefully thought out product applications that could be viewed at a glance, making the specification process as simple as possible given any scale and budget. 

Monthly sale and promotional graphics

I produced scaleable campaigns for product promos and flash sales based on company requirements. With decisions based on shifting pricing or stock maintenance, monthly communications were made by sales and purchasing on products, while marketing organised and produced artworks with scheduled dissemination for account managers pitching direct to customer in the form of social media campaigns, email marketing, A5 printed flyers and video.

Improving the Umbrella Brands

Trimline Brands Dukkaboard

The Dukkaboard website refreshed and relaunched by Eyekiller provided an update to the visual tone of the brand. I was tasked  to set brand guidelines going forward that reflected the visual tone of the refresh, including updated design system elements and apply them to advertising, product documents & safety datasheets, presentations and outward facing media.

Trimline Brands Vulcaseal

Vulcaseal provide a range of high performance cleaning, sealing and protective products for stone, porcelain, terracotta, marble, ceramic, sandstone and cement.
The Vulcaseal Pro range has been developed for use on large industrial applications, whilst the standard range has been formulated for use in domestic applications.

Trimline Brands Python Adhesives

PYTHON is a leading brand of professional adhesives and grouts.
I devised and implemented a new visual system for product safety documents and technical datasheets across the range.
